What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional therapy is the use of specific foods, diets, lifestyle and supplements to support one’s health and well-being on a personalised basis. It considers the whole person, examining diet, lifestyle, and environment to enhance overall health and bring the body back into balance. This approach can support those who want to better their general well-being, or who seek support with a medical condition by uncovering the root cause of symptoms. The primary focus is ‘food is medicine’ by using evidence-based nutritional science to optimise wellness.

How can I help?

By following the holistic and personalised approach that nutritional therapy offers, my goal is to uncover the root causes of symptoms and assist individuals in achieving their health goals. This includes addressing chronic health conditions, supporting gut issues, skin health, balancing hormones, enhancing immunity, managing stress, sleep issues and optimising overall well-being. I focus on what can be added to diets using the power of food to promote healing in the body by adapting a balanced approach that encourages both health and joy in eating.

What should you expect when working with me?

Through one-on-one consultations, I take on a holistic approach to understanding your unique needs and guiding you toward balanced health.

1. Initial consultation

 Before our meeting, I will ask you to complete a comprehensive form around your medical history, family health history, and the health goals you wish to achieve, as well as to assess your current nutrition and lifestyle habits. During our initial consultation, I will ask further questions to allow me to build a full picture of your health and create a personalised plan tailored to your needs, helping you achieve nourishment and wellness through nutrition and lifestyle.

2. Follow-up consultation

This is an opportunity to catch up with how you have been feeling, address any new or changed symptoms and discuss what you felt worked within the plan, and what may have been a challenge. This will help me make sure your plan remains effective moving forward, and we can make any necessary changes.
